Wright Writes by Cambron Wright
Hey friend, thanks for checking out my newsletter!
A bit about me: I am the pastor of Asbury Methodist Church located in northern Kentucky, I’m married with three boys, I love to read, I love to write, and I’m a huge fan of University of Kentucky men’s basketball. I love Tolkien, Dostoevsky, Cormac McCarthy, T.S. Eliot, Marilyn Robinson, W.B. Yeats, Wendell Berry, Jane Austen; I’ve been deeply formed theologically by John and Charles Wesley, C.S. Lewis, GK Chesterton, N.T. Wright, Lesslie Newbigin, Fleming Rutledge, and Tim Keller; I love the Wesleyan movement and I’m grateful to get to follow Jesus within it.
In this newsletter I’m aiming to write about Methodism (particularly Global Methodism), theology, the intersection of culture and faith, any books I’m reading that seem worth reviewing, and anything else that interests me at the moment.
A couple examples of what you can expect:
An article about doing a reaffirmation of baptism in my church;
A post about the holiness of parenting;
A post on finding confidence (and not certainty) in the particular Christian tradition you are in
You can expect a post like one above about once a week on Mondays or Tuesdays. The newsletter is free, but I do accept donations at Buy Me a Coffee if people want to support the work I’m doing.
Stay up-to-date
You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox.
